Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resorts are offering up some of the most affordable ways to get on the slopes this winter with season pass prices, lodging packages and lift ticket packages that keep today's family budgets in mind.
The Double Whammy season pass still offers the best value in Lake Tahoe, with summer prices being extended through November 15, 2008. Skiers and riders can choose from seven categories of pass value to suit their needs. Most adult passes pay for themselves after just six visits to the mountains - that's just two long weekends! Children's passes pay for themselves in just five visits.
Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is offering overnight guests a way to save money and the planet with a new green lodging package. Book this package by November 15, 2008 and pay as little as $108 per person/per night for a studio condo plus lift tickets, a $50 gas card and green tags to help offset the drive. Valid November 21, 2008 through February 12, 2009 and April 8, 2009 through closing day, excluding December 19, 2008 through January 3, 2009 and January 16 through 18, 2009. Three night minimum stay required. $50 gas card valid at Northstar Resort's gas station, which offers biodiesel.
Ski this season at last year's price! The Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort 3-Pak is one of the best deals in the ski world. You can use it any day of the season (even holidays!) and you don't have to use it three days in a row. When you compare the price to a daily ticket, the third day is essentially free. Plus, if you purchase a 3-Pak before December 15, 2008, you can ski or ride at last year's price - just $45 per day!

Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort will introduce the Six-Pack this season that enables guests to make six visits to the resort for less than $50 per day. Like Sierra Resort's 3-Pak, the Six-Pack can be used any day of the season with no restrictions. Perfect for a holiday visit or a stocking stuffer, the Six-Pack saves you over 30% compared to buying single day tickets. A Six-Pack for adults costs just $299, for young adults just $249. The Six-Pack is only on sale through December 15, 2008, then it's gone for good.
Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort will offer a special Learn to Ski/Ride package from December 1 through 19, 2008. For just $25, beginners will receive a lesson, equipment rental and a limited access lift ticket. A great way to experience the slopes for the first time, this package enables beginners to get their ski legs under them right at the start of the season without breaking the holiday budget. Those who get hooked still have time to ask for a season pass before the end of the year!
